Paper sizes

• The International Standard ISO 216 (International Organization for Standardization), sets out the common paper sizes used around the world. 
• 161 countries from around the world are members of the organisation.
• The metric system of paper and card sizes are shown below. 
• All ‘A’ sizes are double the previous size, with A0 being the largest.

• La norma ISO 216 de la Organización Internacional para la normalización (International Organization for Standardization), especifica los formatos de papel que se usan en mucho países del mundo.

En España se han ido sustituyendo los tamaños que había por los DIN-A, y que eran ligeramente más grandes:

• DIN A1 < pliego
• DIN A2 < medio pliego
• DIN A3 < pliego pequeño
• DIN A4 < folio o medio pliego pequeño
• DIN A5 < cuartilla
• DIN A6 < octavilla
